About NCUF

The National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) serves as the philanthropic and social responsibility leader of America's credit union movement.   The Foundation raises funds, makes grants, and manages programs to advance its far-reaching mission:  "To promote and improve consumers' financial independence through credit unions."

Donations to the Foundation enable credit unions to help their members reach life-changing goals. Through NCUF grants and programs, credit unions create greater access to affordable financial services, provide widespread financial education, and empower more consumers to save, build assets, and own homes.

The Foundation also works to respond to immediate and unanticipated needs. NCUF maintains CU Aid, the national online disaster relief fundraising system exclusively dedicated to helping credit unions, their employees, volunteers and members recover from major disasters.  Through CUAId.coop, credit union organizations are encouraged to offer employees, volunteers, and members the option to give to NCUF's Disaster Relief Fund.
